Stamford, CT - AAF Commissioner Oliver Luck sent out a league announcement this morning concerning the league's approach to the Covid19 emergency. He said, "All games this weekend will be played as planned without fans being able to enter the venue. All fans will be reimbursed as the league takes this concern very seriously and will decide early next week how the league will move forward. Thank you for your understanding and your support."


Dragon Player Tested Positive

March 13, 2020

Seattle, WA - A player for the Seattle Dragons has tested positive for COVID-19. The player participated in the March 7th game against the Roughnecks in Houston and was asymptomatic at that time. He self-reported to team medical staff on March 10 and has been in quarantine since. A test was administered as early as possible, with the results received this morning.


All Dragons players met with team medical staff this morning for exit physicals. Each player was screened for symptoms, educated on the CDC recommended guidelines, and offered free extended-stay housing for those that chose to self-quarantine.


The league is alerting players, staff, vendors and partners associated with the Dragons, Roughnecks, and Stallions, as this player also participated in the February 29th game in St. Louis. The AAF is monitoring the situation closely and taking every measure necessary in accordance with recommendations set forth by the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health.


The Alliance is replacing the Seattle Dragons for this weekend's game against the Baltimore Brigade with the Atlantic City Blackjacks, the league's universal practice squad.

California Teams Halt Season

March 14, 2020

Los Angeles, CA - The Los Angeles Wildcats, Oakland Panthers and San Diego Fleet have all pulled out of their AAF games this weekend at the demand of California Governor Gavin Newsom. The Wildcats we're scheduled to host the Panthers, while the San Diego Fleet was scheduled to host the Columbus Generals. Now the Generals, will play host to the Omaha Aviators in Columbus.
