2017 Week 2 Recap: Alphas Get First Win Against Blues

Updated: Mar 11, 2021

Blues Look to be as Inconsistent as Ever

Chicago Alpha Dog in Miami

February 19, 2017

Miami, FL - Lovie Smith and the Chicago Alphas got their first franchise win on Sunday night despite being down 13-10 on the road against the Miami Blues. Tim Tebow wasn't the fit at QB for the Blues' Spurrier ran offense last year, and this year the former signal caller just hasn't been involved enough in the offense as the franchise's designated player this season yet at Tight End.

Lovie Smith rode two NFL veterans in RBs Ryan Mathews and Juwan Thompson in the second half as both backs did their most damage in a 4th quarter that saw the Alphas outscore Miami 17-0 to give the Alphas the game.
