Landry Jones Makes Return and Delivers First Win

March 1, 2020

Dallas, TX - QB Landry Jones made his season debut and outdueled QB PJ Walker down in Dallas in front of the 53,004 Renegades fans. After a slow start to the game that led to a 6-3 Houston halftime lead, both Quarterbacks shook off the rust in the 3rd Quarter and led three touchdown drives a piece making the score 27-26 Roughnecks going into the 4th and the fireworks didn't stop there.

QB Jones hit newly acquired WR Brice Butler down the sideline for 64 yards on the first play of the final quarter making it 34-27. QB Walker returned the favor and led a scoring drive of his own ending with an RB D'Onta Foreman touchdown plunge and the score being 34-34.

Dallas Renegades Head Coach Bob Stoops looking for his first win of the season, decided to slow down the game and rode RB Cameron Artis-Payne the next drive which turned out to be a good idea as Artis-Payne finished the drive with a 13 yard touchdown carry giving Dallas a 40-34 lead. Now with not much time left on the clock, Walker had to take chances down the field and after two big completions, he was sacked and stripped by Dallas LB Tim Williams ending the game.
