August 20, 2022

Columbus, OH - Donald Trump and Trump Towers Sports & Entertainment LLC announced that the Columbus Generals would be once again joining the Alliance. This time as a 2023 expansion team.

“Vince and I are good friends. Great friends. He has assembled a great team of people to run this league and they're doing everything correctly from a business perspective. I won't get involved there, but my team and soon to be teams will be winners. I'm the greatest winner in the history of the whole world, and my teams will be too.”

Trump introduced the crowd to their newest Head Coach, Matt Patricia. After being an New England Patriots assistant from 2004 to 2011, he was promoted to Defensive Coordinator in 2012 and served in that role until 2017 when he became the Head Coach of the Detroit Lions.
