Leonsis Brings Football to Baltimore

Baltimore, MD - Ted Leonsis and Monumental Sports and Entertainment LLC announced that they were bringing a second expansion team to the Alliance league for the 2017 season.
“This league is off to a great start. I saw the opportunity for a second franchise and didn't want to push it off any further.”
The Baltimore AAF franchise has been revealed to be named the Baltimore Brigade, named for the military history and in reference of the War of 1812 and the inspiration of the penning of "The Star-Spangled Banner," the nation's national anthem.
With Leonsis bringing both the Valor and the Brigade to the AAF in 2017, it would represent an investment of roughly $35M for 2017 season alone.
Leonsis also revealed the team's logo at the press conference while announcing the team would be playing their home games at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.

Miami, FL - Dwayne Johnson, alongside his ex-wife Dany Garcia, and RedBird Capital Partners LLC have purchased the Miami Blues for $10M. Dwayne Johnson, a former WWE superstar for Vince McMahon was also a former professional football player in the Canadian Football League for the Calgary Stampeders. RedBird Capital Partners LLC is a private investment firm focused on building high-growth companies with flexible, long term capital possibilities.
