St. Louis Wasn't Good Enough for the NFL but AAF Says Yes

St. Louis Very Excited to Have the Stallions

St. Louis, MO - Former St. Louis Ram Long Snapper Andrew Kline and Park Lane Sports and Entertainment LLC are proud to announce they were granted the last of the four Alliance expansion teams for the 2018 season and that they would be bringing the Stallions to St. Louis.

“The NFL took the Rams from us in 2015, but I'll be bringing the Stallions back to the city in 2018. I know how much this city loves football, and I couldn't be more excited to return the game back to these great people.”

Kline played three seasons for the NFL St. Louis Rams as their starting Long Snapper before retiring from football to become the founder and managing director of Park Lane Sports and Entertainment Inc., an investment bank, that provide advisory serves to professional sports teams, and sport based businesses.


John Fox

Fox was named as the first Head Coach of the AAF's St. Louis Stallions. Fox previously was the Head Coach of the Carolina Panthers from 2002 to 2010, the Denver Broncos from 2011 to 2014 and for the Chicago Bears for the 2015 and 2016 seasons and Fox was the Defensive Coordinator for the New York Giants from 1999 to 2001.


St. Louis Stallions

Joining John Fox in St. Louis will be Chuck Long as the Offensive Coordinator and Dennis Thurman as the Defensive Coordinator. Long was the former Head Coach at San Diego State University from 2006 to 2008 and also served as the Offensive Coordinator at Oklahoma from 2002 to 2005 and at the University of Kansas for 2010 and 2011. Thurman served as NFL assistant coach from 1988 to 2012 before becoming the Defensive Coordinator for the New York Jets for 2013-2014 and for the Buffalo Bills for 2015-2016.


Former St. Louis Ram WR Az-Zahir Hakim will serve as the team's Wide Receivers Coach. Hakim played in the NFL from 1998 to 2007 before playing for the Las Vegas Locomotives in the United Football League for the 2009 season. This will be his first job as a coach.


Paxton Lynch has been signed as the team's first designated franchise player. Lynch is a former first round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2016. After spending two seasons with the Broncos, Lynch was released after being demoted to fourth string by the team.


The Stallions will be playing their home games at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, MO. The team was purchased for $15M by Kline and Park Lane Sports and Entertainment LLC.


Conquerors Settle on Rick Neuheisel

Las Vegas, NV - Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta announced that they had hired Rick Neuheisel as the team's offensive coordinator after reversing course on the Art Briles hire. Neuheisel has plenty of experience as a coach, as he was the Head Coach at the University of Colorado from 1995 to 1998, at University of Washington from 1998 to 2002, before becoming the QB Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens from 2005 to 2007 under Conquerors' Head Coach Rex Ryan. Neuheisel has most recently served as the Head Coach at UCLA from 2008 to 2011.
