New York, NY - A blocked field goal and steady quarterback play from Brett Hundley propelled the Baltimore Brigade to a 17-14 Week 12 victory over the New York Guardians.
Working in conjunction with an effective Baltimore Brigade run game, the slinger helped defeat the favored New York squad, knocking them out of playoff contention.
However, New York K Lirim Hajrullahu had a field-goal attempt blocked by Brigade DB Cariel Brooks and later pushed another try wide to the right a 44-yard in the fourth that would've tied it.
The Brigade, leaning on an efficient, safe effort from QB Hundley (18-for-26, 150 yards) but the real weight was carried by RB CJ Anderson, who barreled through the Guardians' defense for 116 yards on 26 carries, frequently moving chains.
The Guardians thrived through the air in defeat. QB Josh Freeman piled up 330 passing yards and accounted for two touchdowns, with WR Brandon Burks registering eight catches, 127 yards and a TD on 12 targets.
