Apollos, Iron, Roughnecks and Wildcats are Final Four
Apollos Advance on Neutral Field Against the Express
May 8, 2021
Memphis, TN - QB Garrett Gilbert torched the Express secondary in the first quarter with a 70 yard and 50 yard touchdown passes to WR Jalin Marshall. After exchanging a few Field Goals, and having a score of 17-6, Memphis QB Trey Lance finally found some rhythm in the late second quarter which resulted in a WR Shaq Evans 35 yard Touchdown reception. The third quarter saw a lot of stout defense before RB Zac Stacy finally broke through with a 1 yard scamper to put the Express on top for the first time 20-17. QB Garrett Gilbert didn't take long to answer however and found the end zone at the end of a 52 yard bomb to WR Charles Johnson. QB Lance took Memphis down to the four yard line before having a ball bounce off the hands of WR Devin Lucien and into the waiting arms of Orlando DB Keith Reaser. QB Garrett Gilbert then orchestrated the perfect drive that took the last 6:23 off the clock and finished with a RB Antonio Andrews touchdown plunge to give the Apollos the 31-20 win.

Birmingham Defeat the Brigade Without QB Lawrence
May 8, 2021
Birmingham, AL - A severe rainstorm landed down in Birmingham on Saturday afternoon and there may be no two teams better equipped for such weather conditions but QB Tahj Boyd, replacing QB Trevor Lawrence after the talented rookie decided to sit out at the wishes of the Jacksonville Jaguars who just selected him #1 overall in the NFL draft, and the Birmingham Iron would win the day. The leg of K Alex Henery had the Iron up 9-0 at halftime. Brigade QB Brett Hundley took the first drive of the 2nd half down the field and found WR Paul Richardson for a thirteen yard score that cut the game to 9-7 but that would be the last of Baltimore's offense. The Iron controlled the clock and sealed the game with a early 4th quarter rushing score from four yards out by RB Trent Richardson.

Landry Jones Left Early and Took Renegades' Chances With Him
May 9, 2021
Los Angeles, CA - Los Angeles QB Josh Johnson took the Wildcats down the field and hit WR DaVaris Daniels for a 6 yard Touchdown pass on the first possession of the game, and then Renegades QB Landry Jones looked to be doing the same of what looked to be a shoot out, but it wasn't meant to be. After getting his team down to the 18 yard line, Wildcats' DL Shawn Oakman hit QB Jones right on the knee that ended the signal caller's day. QB John Wolford entered the game and threw his first pass right into the arms of Wildcats' DB Ahmad Dixon and that would prove to be foreshadowing for the rest of the afternoon as Wolford couldn't get much of anything to go right for the team from Dallas. After being up 27-3 at halftime, Wildcats' Head Coach Scott Milanovich pulled off the dogs and just ran out the clock in the second half to show mercy.

PJ and the Roughnecks Hold Off Kaepernick and the Fleet
May 9, 2021
Houston, TX - Roughnecks QB PJ Walker has been hot the last few weeks and it continued today as he shredded the San Diego secondary. That secondary was no match for all the weapons that Head Coach Wade Phillips has to work with and it really showed in the first half as the Roughnecks went to halftime up 24-7. They added a Field Goal at the beginning of the third quarter, before the Fleet finally found some momentum. QB Colin Kaepernick tried to get San Diego back in the game but they just ran out of time. QB Kaepernick threw his second touchdown on the day in the third to make the game 27-14 and then RB Kapri Bibbs found his way into the end zone as well after the Roughnecks added another Field Goal to make the score 30-21. After a fourth Houston Field Goal from K Lewis Ward, the Fleet had to score fast and that's exactly what they did as QB Kaepernick found WR Martavis Bryant in the back corner of the end zone but after the onside kick landed in the arms of Roughnecks WR Jaelen Strong, the game was over.
Fleet - 28 Roughnecks - 33
(9-3)SD: QB Colin Kaepernick - 23/36 261 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, RB Kapri Bibbs - 21 carries, 100 yards, 1 TD, WR Martavis Bryant - 8 catches, 91 yards, 1 TD, WR Braxton Miller - 4 catches, 53 yards, 1 TD
